Construction of a Rescue Dog Shelter
I am raising funds for Elodie (know as Elo La in the dog rescue field). She needs our help to build a shelter and pens for her rescues.
Elodie is a passionate and kind individual. She has at heart the stray dog problem of Mauritius. She has created a safe place for dogs to be rescued, cared for, rehabilitated and then she finds loving forever homes for them all over the island and abroad.
Elodie has rescued and re-homed more than 200 dogs in the two years she has given to this cause. Some of these doggies were saved from extremely bad conditions. She ensures that they are healthy, fed, dewormed, vaccinated, sterilised and clean from ticks and fleas before finding new homes for them.
She will soon be moving to a new house and needs the required funds to construct a shelter at the new location to accommodate the doggies and all the ones that are still to come. Unfortunately it is very costly to build a structure that is safe for the dogs. She needs to fence the plot of land, create pens inside to accommodate different sections: the babies, teenagers, older dogs etc...and ultimately create a sheltered area where they can find shade during the day or bad weather and where sick dogs can rest and get better care.
Help us create a safe and loving environment for Xena, Tiger, Ollie, Marble, Rose, Coco, Spice, Mystic, Fudge, Vegas, Rio, Litchi, Soley, Alix, Missy, Shadow, Molly, Angel, Cleo, Lilou and all their future friends.
If we get 25% of the funds we will be able to fence the outside plot.
With 50% we will be able to get pens and sections fenced.
With 100% we would be able to create a sheltered area for the dogs.
